Valerian Family. Centranthus ruber (Red Valerian) and Valeriana spp. (Valerian). The furrows are bounded by a margin and a narrow clear area forming a halo. Centranthus, very small spines on surface and spikes in furrows. Valeriana, surface warts which may carry very small spines, cf. Dipsaceae.
